Basic Functions & Controls Guide

🔘 Buttons & Controls

Home / Power Button (Upper Button)

• Press & Hold:
  Power ON/OFF or launch Bixby / Google Assistant (if assigned)

• Single Press:
  Go to Home screen or open Apps

• Double Press:
  Launch a selected shortcut (default: Recent Apps)

Back Button (Lower Button)

• Single Press:
  Go back to the previous screen

• Press & Hold:
  Activate Emergency SOS (if enabled)

Rotating Touch Bezel

• Rotate clockwise / counter-clockwise to:

  • Scroll notifications

  • Navigate menus & settings

  • Browse apps and widgets

👉 Gestures & Navigation

• Swipe Left:
  View health & activity widgets (heart rate, steps, workouts, sleep, etc.)

• Swipe Right:
  Go back or open Tiles (based on layout)

• Swipe Up:
  Open Apps screen

• Swipe Down:
  Open Quick Panel
  (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DND, Brightness, Settings)

• Press & Hold Watch Face:
  Change or customize watch faces

📲 App Installation & Connectivity

  • Google Assistant

  • Google Wallet

First-Time Setup

1. Power on Galaxy Watch 8

2. QR code appears on the watch

3. On phone:

   • Open Galaxy Wearable

   • Tap Add New Device

   • Scan QR or select Galaxy Watch 8

4. Complete setup by following on-screen instructions

Reconnect or Pair New Phone

• Open Galaxy Wearable → Connect to New Device

• Reset watch if prompted

• Pair via Bluetooth and finish setup

📞 Bluetooth Calls & Audio

Enable Calling

On Watch:
Settings → Connections → Bluetooth → Phone → ON

On Phone:
Ensure both are connected:

• Bluetooth (Watch)

• Bluetooth (Watch LE / Calls)

Once Connected

• Make & receive calls from the watch

• Play music via watch or TWS earbuds

• Use voice assistant hands-free
